Creativity, Color and The New Materials: Awaken Your Creative Imagination. Have you ever wondered why some paintings seem alive with energy? There are artistic principles and concepts that naturally stimulate visual creativity and lead to making paintings that are dynamic. (This is the stuff they never told you in art school). We will awaken our imagination by playing with these simple compositional ideas of color, shapes, rhythm, size, direction and even gravity to learn how to let our feelings out. This will be a complete hands-on exploration of how to express yourself using modern approaches to color, composition, and creative techniques using a host of exciting new materials in a variety of mixed media approaches. We will have fun using Creta “Aquastics”, Sennelier oil pastels, Creta “Aquabriques”, the unique water-soluble “Art Chunkies”as well as Sennelier Watercolors and Pastels and Fabriano papers. We will cover: how to do irresistible watercolor and oil pastel "resists"; working in layers and how to mix media in the right order; how to combine the various media and more. We will use great “tricks” of composition to make exciting works on paper using the finest materials. Artists of all skill levels will find this entire course highly informative, useful and fun, too. 2 -Course Description for Saturday, November 14:  9AM to 4PM

Learn To Draw the Nude Figure with New Materials & New Methods.  Learn new and exciting ways to paint and draw the nude figure that are easy, free flowing and fun. The emphasis is on using mixed media techniques with unusual materials and techniques to achieve a surprisingly artistic and pleasing result without being too overly technical. And drawing the figure is more fun and less difficult if you’ve got the right tools.We will have fun using Creta “Aquastics”, Sennelier oil pastels, Creta “Aquabriques”, and the the unique water-soluble “Art Chunkies” and other exciting materials and papers provided by Savoir Faire.Bill will demonstrate ways of drawing that will expand your artistic skills and enable you to achieve a higher expressive level. As you learn to draw the figure with courage, freshness and freedom a world of new artistic possibilities will open up. We will work from a  live model.
