Bill Buchman, an accomplished artist, innovative teacher and excellent communicator, has empowered students and artists of all levels to make progress beyond their expectations with his remarkable teaching methods. He has studied with America’s foremost art educators and his work is represented internationally by Gallerihuset of Copenhagen.
Bill has just released a DVD, in which he demonstrates how to make successful figure drawings–one step at a time. In the beginning of April Bill is giving a three day hands–on workshop at Art Sarasota which offers rich resources to the experienced or beginning artist looking for new and inspiring ways to draw. Bill’s methods unlock the mysteries of the creative process and show how they apply to the realm of figure drawing. Bill’s students often say: “This is what I always wanted to know but wasn’t taught in art school.”

Working from a live model you will learn both new and traditional drawing techniques through simple, understandable and practical exercises. Bill will demonstrate ways of drawing that will dramatically improve your ability to see and draw the figure. In the course, you will come to see the work of great figure artists of the past with new eyes and understand how they achieve such marvelous results. The knowledge you will gain here can be applied to all your artistic adventures and will give you the basis for being able to draw anything you want.
